We’re very sorry to have to make this announcement, but there will not be a HurleyCon this year. Due to the immense number of comic book and gaming conventions all around the country in the early spring, we were simply not able to find a date that would work.
Rather than run a sub-par show that didn’t include the wide variety of industry guests and independent dealers that you’ve come to expect from HurleyCon, we’ve decided to rally our forces for a bigger, better show in the future.
If you’re still on the hunt for a great comic book show in the area, we highly recommend Planet Comicon in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City Area). It’s easily the area’s biggest con, and always has a great guest list.
Thank you all for your continued support.

Two questions: can I get a table of some kind? I run a Star Trek fan club Chapter here in Joplin, the USS William Wallace, and I’d like to see if anyone would like to join my Chapter and STARFLEET
Two, will there be any internet capability at Jack Webb? Some friends of mine would like to come help me with the recruiting part and it’d be neat if they had some internet capability.
Also, I plan on entering the costume contest with my Movie Era ST “monster maroon”. I’ve won a couple of contests with it before.
Thanks!
Hi Ray,
We’d love to have you at the show. Exhibitor info is available under the “HurleyCon Exhibitors” tab, or you can e-mail us at hurleysheroes@gmail.com and we can send you the info.
Unfortunately, there’s pretty much no internet access within the convention center. There’s no wi-fi available, and wireless cards don’t seem to get any kind of reception in there either.
Good luck at the costume contest!
